Kenneth A. Cooley's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth A. Cooley, age 74, Iola, Wisconsin, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, August 5th, 2006 at Iola Living Assistance. Mr. Cooley was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Herbert and May (Hendrickson) Cooley. On July 28, 1956, he married Shirley Knutson in Milwaukee. Ken was Broker/Owner of Cooley Real Estate in Wisconsin Rapids for over 16 years. He retired in 1988. Ken was a member of the Wood County Board, VFW, Lions Club and several community organizations. He also served in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He is survived by his Wife: Shirley Cooley, Iola; Daughter: Jeanne (Stuart) Grassmann, Chaska, MN; Son: Patrick Cooley, Oak Creek, WI; Grandchildren: Eric (Jessica) Grassmann, Superior, Nebraska; Daniel (Fiancee' Rebecca Lewis) Grassmann, Mankato, MN; Elizabeth (Bradley) Thorsen, Chaska, MN; Great Grandchildren: Ashton Grassmann; Caleb Grassmann; Brother: Richard (Margaret) Cooley, Arizona; Sister: Dorothy Egan, Chicago; Eleanor (George) Mandell, California and his loving and faithful dog: Buddy. Ken was preceded in death by One Brother: Herbert Cooley and One Sister: Betty Mae Cooley A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Waupaca at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 10th, with Father Brian Beno officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday 10:30 -11 A.M. at the church. Interment of cremains will be in the Park Cemetery in the Town St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Children's Camp Fund; P.O. Box 561 Waupaca, WI. 54981. A.J. Holly & Sons LTD
