Kenneth (Dutch) Worden's Obituary
Kenneth G. (Dutch) Worden, age 87, of Amherst, WI., passed away on Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 in Stevens Point, WI. He was born in Amherst, Wisconsin on December 23, 1921, he was the son of the late Perry and Zoa (Durkee) Worden. He married Dorothy Bach on April 22, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 6, 1996. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Survivors include his Children: Robert (Connie) Worden, Custer, WI; Patricia (Robert) Shaw, Plover, WI; William Worden, Stevens Point, WI; Grandchildren: Jason (Heather) Worden, Port Edwards, WI; Lindsey Brown, Raleigh, NC; Steven (Jennifer) Brost, Cedar Rapids, IA; Timothy Worden, Madison, WI; Amber (Michael) Mau, New Glarus, WI; 4 Great Grandchildren; Special Niece: Rita (Fred) Zurawski, Stevens Point, WI; Brother-in-law: Jim Selby. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy and a son, James, three sisters, Carol Gilbertson, Marie Shaw adn Sandra Selby. A Celebration of Life and a time to share stories about Dutch will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 11AM until Noon at which time the procession will leave for the cemetery for the Committal Service and Military Honors. Interment will be in the St. James Catholic Cemetery Amherst, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5 until 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst AND on Saturday, from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Living Oaks, North Rigde Assisted Living and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice
