Kenneth Ewart's Obituary
Kenneth Ewart, age 96, passed away on August 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born on October 16, 1914 to Frank and Emma (Hodgkins) Ewart of Milwaukee, WI. Ken and Ruth had three children; Tom, born in 1952 and twins, Peter and Margaret in 1956. Ken worked in construction and then for Pabst Brewery in the bottling house retiring after 19 years of service. Ken enjoyed outdoor activities and always seemed to find a place to live by a lake: Waubeesee Lake, just south of Milwaukee and Lake Iola and Lake Emily in his retirement years. He was best known for his gentle nature, strong work ethic and generous heart. Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth; daughter, Margaret Kemp and son-in-law Andrew Kemp, grandchildren Rose Kemp and Julia Kemp and niece Mary Colgan (Durango, CO). Memorial Service will be at the Lodge at Whispering Pines, 3450 Bridlewood, in Plover, on Saturday, August 6th, at 11:00 a.m. in their chapel. Private burial will be held at a later date. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements. Donations can be made to your favorite charity. The family wishes to extend out thanks to the staff at Ministry Medical in Stevens Point and a very special thanks to the entire staff at Whispering Pines in Plover for their loving care and support of both Ken and Ruth Ewart.
