Kenneth Winn's Obituary
Kenneth W. Winn, age 78 of King, formerly of Stevens Point, passed away Sunday, October 24th, 2010 at Wisconsin Veterans Home. Ken was born on April 28, 1932 to Michael and Bertha (Zynda) Wanserski in Stevens Point. He was a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School and U.W.S.P. Ken enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and served in the Korean War. Ken loved to read and enjoyed working with children in a reading program in Stevens Point. Ken is survived by a sister, LaVerne (Ransler) Fox, Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Mildred Wanserski, Plover, WI; special friend, Eileen Payne, Plover, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29, in the Main Chapel at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI. Burial will be held at a later date in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
