Kim L. Anderson's Obituary
Kim Louise Anderson 68 of Waupaca Wisconsin died peacefully on January 9, 2026. Kim was born May 23, 1957 to William and Sarah Anderson of Waupaca Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Raether. Her mother, Sally Anderson, father, William Anderson, her sister Katherine Harris and that bird! Humphrey Bogart.
Kim is survived by her sister, Cindy (Jerry) Nankee, niece, Caitlin (Tommy) Kolowith, great niece, Evelyn Kolowith, great nephew, Kallen Kolowith, nephew, Bryant (Anne) Nankee, niece, Tracy Harris, stepson, Eric (Teri) Raether, step grandson, Devin and Calvin Raether, step daughter, Erin Raether and husband Ivan Resendiz, grand stepson Ariel Resendiz-Raether. As well as her two cats, Lauren and Bacall.
Kim had an adventurous spirit, she had the best laugh and enjoyed life. Kim loved music and dance and playing her flute, attending music festivals and concerts with her husband Dave. Kim and Dave loved to travel and have been all over the world. She was also very proud of her time as a flight attendant with Midwest Express Airlines. The chain O Lakes and her lovely home on Camp Cleghorn were especially dear to Kim. She loved all water sports, and was an avid water skier, passing her beloved slalom ski onto her nephew who continues to use it today. Kim was devoted to her family and friends. She was a true animal lover, rescuing countless critters. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Kim was especially grateful during the last few weeks of her life for the outpouring of care from her community- she had a revolving door of cards, messages and visits, and she felt very loved.
A memorial service will be held at Parfreyville Methodist Church on Saturday, January 31, visitation at 1 o’clock, service at 2 o’clock, followed by light refreshments at the church. A Dedicated Church Service for Kim will also be held on June 28, at 9:15 AM at Camp Cleghorn Church followed by light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be made to the Marion Area Historical Society.
