Kody Nelson's Obituary
Kody L. (Little Bird) Nelson, 4, Amherst Junction, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at his home after a long uphill battle with cancer diagnosed Sept. 6, 2006, Kody was born Oct. 10, 2004, in Stevens Point, a son of Kevin and Patty (Feltz) Nelson. Kody enjoyed fishing and digging worms, camping, reading books, going for walks, and loved being by the lakes and beaches, listening to music and singing. Survivors in addition to his parents, Kevin and Patty Nelson of Amherst Junction, include two brothers, Forrest Nelson and Brock Nelson, and a sister, Melissa (Ryan Ostrofski; his grandparents, Leroy and Joan Feltz, Custer; geat-grandmother, Celia Feltz; aunts and uncles, Laurie (Loui) Krueger, Randy (Barb) Feltz, Tom (Wendy) Feltz, Cory Feltz, Kaaron (Roger) Keene, Ruth Nelson and Kurt (Phyllis) Nelson; and nephews, Charlie Ostrofski and Marek Ostrofski; and many many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by Grandma Train Beverly Nelson. The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Custer. Father George and Father Rajen will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Custer. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Kody's home, 926 Highway A, Amherst Junction, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. A luncheon will be served following the Mass in the church basement.
