Larry D. Schultz's Obituary
Larry D. Schultz, age 58, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, June 7th, 2005 at his residence with his family and friends by his side after a difficult battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). He was born in Waupaca on October 18, 1946, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Zawacki) Schultz. Larry married Pauline Tomasko on May 12, 2000 in Waupaca. He worked as a Safety & Security Officer at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI for twenty-one years. It was there his duties included fire protection, medical first responder, and hazardous material coordinator. He was owner/partner of the Crystal River Orchards in Waupaca for ten years. Larry hated to shop! He was always a true nature lover and outdoorsman. Mr Social. He touched everyone who knew him, all he had to do was smile. Larry enjoyed a variety of great music, and read over 1000 books in one year. His passion for his 61 Panhead Harley Davidson and fishing was known by all. Fish feared him and roads opened up for him. It's because of his vast knowledge of life, compassion for others, and sense of humor, we'll miss our friend. Go Pack Go! Larry is survived by his Wife: Pauline Schultz, Waupaca, WI; Mother: Dorothy Schultz, Waupaca, WI; Children: Jennifer Schultz, Pontiac, MI; Nick Schultz, Waupaca, WI; Matt Schultz, Waupaca, WI; Step-Children: Matt Frerichs, Waupaca, WI; Jared Jacquart, Waupaca, WI; Brothers: Dale (Renee) Schultz, Almond, WI; Randall (Lisa) Schultz, Waupaca, WI; Sister-in-law: Edith Schultz, Marshfield, WI. Larry is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; a brother, Richard, Jr. and an infant brother, Steven.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Main Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Schwanke officiating. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Main Chapel from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Larry's name. Holly Funeral Home
