Laura Selquist's Obituary
LAURA E. SELQUIST
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN Age 100, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose, WI. She was born August 23, 1913 in New Milford, IL; daughter of John and Mary (Peterson) Chessel. Laura married Leslie L. Selquist on November 28, 1935 in Rockford, IL and they shared 72 years of marriage before his passing on February 29, 2008. She and Leslie lived in Rockford, IL for 40 years before moving to the Wild Rose area in 1964. They operated the Evergreen Campsites in Wild Rose until 1974. Laura enjoyed square dancing, quilting, knitting, golfing, and traveling. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. Laura is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Chessel; her husband, Leslie Selquist; a daughter, Martha Peyton; and three brothers, Leo, Philip, and Waldemar “Walt” Chessel. A Memorial Service will be on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Saxeville, WI. Reverend Vicki Fink will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church on Friday. Burial of cremains will follow the service on Friday at the Saxeville Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Laura E. Selquist. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements. HOLLY FUNERAL HOME
