Laura J. Worzella's Obituary
Laura “Puncky” Worzella, 67, died December 30th, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. Ms. Worzella was born on November 17th, 1950 in Stevens Point, WI to Rose Marie Keopen and Robert Jerome Worzella. She graduated from Maria High School in 1969 and worked at Sentry Insurance and then River Pines Nursing Home where she continued for 36 years. She married Joseph Pogorzelski in the fall of 1969 and later divorced. They raised two sons.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, mending, knitting, crocheting, spending time with family and friends and using her craft talents in support of the ALS organization.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Pogorzelski (fianceé, Anna Davis) and Stewart Pogorzelski (wife, Katherine and daughter, Deshay Anderson); her “adopted” families: Dave, Janet, Morgan, Mitchell, Marcus, Matthew and Michael Glodowski and Mike, Stephanie and Skylar Feltz; her very special friends: Debbie Burress, Caren Churkey and Becky Rossman; and her beloved cat, Patrick.
A Celebration of Laura’s Life will be on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Shooters Restaurant, 5330 Harding Avenue, Plover, WI. Condolences may be made through the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
