Laurel "Lolly" Mittelstedt's Obituary
Laurel “Lolly” Mittelstedt age 99, of Amherst, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home.
She was born on November 22, 1922 in Grand Marsh, WI, daughter of Leon and Ruth (Marvin) McMahon. Laurel married Ervin Mittelstedt.
Laurel was owner/operator of Mittelstedt Green House and Floral in Amherst for many years. She served on the Amherst Village Board and Amherst Library Board for many years. Laurel loved flowers, cats and her flower garden.
Laurel is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Richard) Borgen of Amherst, WI and Betty (Ken) Waller of Appleton, WI; four grandchildren, Alan Borgen, Lori Melum, Wendy Williams and Kevin Waller; six great grandchildren Scott Borgen, Richard Melum, Leah Miskoviak, Ryan Melum, Dustin Borgen and Lauren Williams; one great great granddaughter Maddison Borgen; one sister Verla Lysy of Appleton, WI.
Beside her parents and husband, Ervin, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Borgen; one sister Belva Sharette; four brothers, Owen, Wayne, Harry and Keith McMahon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst with Reverend Gretchen Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, WI.
Visitation will be on Monday from 12:30 pm until the time of service at the Church.
