LAVERN (CHUCK) MUMBRUE
Age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born June 18, 1930 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI; son of George and Hattie Mumbrue. Chuck served in the U.S. Army from March 17, 1954-March 9, 1956 during the Korean War. On September 18, 1976, Chuck married Barbara (Mortensen) Pomerenke at their home in the Town of Waupaca, WI. He was an avid horseman, hunter, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially spending time with his family and friends on trailrides. Chuck was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Chuck is survived by: Wife: Barbara Mumbrue of Waupaca, WI; Children: Terri (Myke) Mykisen of Marion, WI; Thomas (Laurie) Mumbrue of Waupaca, WI; Todd (Terri) Mumbrue of Maribel, WI; Tina (John) Spierings of Weyauwega, WI; Step-Daughter: Tammy (Randy) Smith of Waupaca, WI; his Grandchildren: Ted (Janet) Osman of Fort Scott, KS; Tami Osman of Weyauwega, WI; Tonia Osman of Manawa, WI; Cody Minks of Eau Claire, WI; Mike (Joanna) Parnham of Waupaca, WI; Brooke Schultz of Appleton, WI; Tallie Mumbrue of Weyauwega, WI; Tasha Mumbrue of Buffalo, NY; Matthew Mumbrue of Waupaca, WI; Tristan Mumbrue of Denmark, WI; Troy Mumbrue of Green Bay, WI; Brittany Mumbrue of Weyauwega, WI; Allysa Spierings of Weyauwega, WI; Step-Grandchildren: Justin, Kerry, and Cora Smith of Waupaca, WI; Great-Grandchildren: Desireé, Gavin, Ethan, Wyatt, Sheldon, Domonick, Vincent, Matthew, David, Sevann, Giana, Tyler, Delaney, and Ethan and Half-Brother: Peter Mumbrue. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hattie Mumbrue; step-mother, Roseann Mumbrue; two sons, Teddy Mumbrue and Timothy Mumbrue; two grandsons, Tyler Mumbrue and Tristan Osman; two step-grandchildren, Pallidan and Sheehan Smith; and a great-grandson, Jade Osman. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park on Saturday with full military honors to be performed. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
