LaVerne Johnson's Obituary
LaVerne F. Johnson, age 86, of Waupaca, WI., passed away on Saturday, January 23rd, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center. He was born in Waupaca on July 31, 1923, a son of the late Louis and Nettie (Hansen) Johnson. He married Martha Camack on October 4, 1948 in Madison, WI. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. LaVerne was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, he was also a long time member of the Simpson's Coffee Club. Survivors include his Wife: Martha Johnson, Waupaca, WI; Children: Thomas (Kelley) Johnson, Thousand Oaks, CA; Alan (Annie) Johnson, Chicago, IL; Grandson: Alex Johnson, Chicago, IL; Niece: Janet Johnson, Waupaca, WI; Nephew: Harlow Johnson, Waupaca, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Clarence Johnson and a sister, Lucille Johnson. Memorial Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 5 PM on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 3 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
