LaVerne M. Trzebiatowski's Obituary
LaVerne M. Trzebiatowski, age 89 of the Town of Amherst, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at The Lodge of Whispering Pines in Plover. LaVerne was born on December 3, 1932 to the late Frank and Della (Pliskie) Kowalski in Stevens Point.
LaVerne graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1951. On October 5, 1953, she married William “Willie” Trzebiatowski, he preceded her in death on December 21, 2016. LaVerne and Willie owned and operated their family farm. They enjoyed family reunions, weddings, church picnics, polka dances, putting puzzles together on foam boards, she said “if I spend all that time putting it together, I am not putting it back in the box”. She was famous for her homemade chicken soup and blackberry pies. LaVerne loved her family, which was important to her and that was instilled in us all. She enjoyed babysitting all the grandchildren. Her faith was always important and she was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church - Fancher. She enjoyed living at Whispering Pines “The Lodge” for the past 5 years. The staff was her second family.
LaVerne is survived by her eight children, Barb (Dale) Onan of Amherst, William "Bill" Trzebiatowski, Jr. of Wisconsin Rapids, Richard Trzebiatowski of Bancroft, Norbert (Rebecca) Trzebiatowski of Stevens Point, Julie (Duane) Johnson of Kaukauna, Glen Trzebiatowski of Plover, Sandy Trzebiatowski of Amherst, and Susan (Anthony) Schwanda of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Eric (Jess) Onan, Mandi (Ben Jr.) Sankey, Adam (Amanda) Onan, Adrian (Brandi Scarberry) Trzebiatowski, Taylar (Bryan) Houston, Max (Katie Jo) Trzebiatowski, Philip Trzebiatowski, Crystal (Brian) Ristow, Ryan (Sara) Johnson, Samantha (Joseph) Pinkart, Westley Trzebiatowski, Hayleigh (Wesley) Perdue, Dillon Makuski, Mitchell Makuski, Ian (Alyssa) Schwanda, Olivia Devitry and Rodney Harder; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Peyton Onan, Brandon, Ty and Miranda Sankey, Brittney Harder, Jayden Houston, Nicholas, Brady & Evan Ristow, Everett Johnson, Kinleigh and Parker Perdue; Emma Pinkart, Tucker Trzebiatowski, Josephine and Anthony Schwanda, Lincoln Devitry, Anna and Carson Onan; great-great-grandchildren, Carter Schwendeman, Boden Helgeson; step-granddaughter, Brooke Makuski; step-grandson, Shane Dennée; and step-great-grandson, Lakin Dennée. She is also survived by a brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Kowalski of Stevens Point and daughters-in-law, Merridee West and Karen Wills.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie; one son, Jeffrey (stillborn); a grandson, Joseph "Joey" Trzebiatowski; a granddaughter, Dawn Harder; special friend, Anne Litt; and four brothers, Arthur, Eldred “Al”, Frank and Jerome “Jerry” Kowalski.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher in Amherst. Father Jerzy Rebacz will preside. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 11 with Rosary at 7:30 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in the name of LaVerne Trzebiatowski.
