LaVonne Jahn's Obituary
LaVonne H. Jahn, age 82, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. LaVonne was born on September 10, 1923, in Almond, WI the daughter of the late Victor and Olga (Hermann) Hardell. She graduated from Almond High School in 1941 and went to business school in Fond du Lac. LaVonne loved dancing, big bands, especially the UW-Madison Marching Band, baking and her Casino trips. On September 25, 1976 she married Richard R. Jahn in Westfield, WI. LaVonne is survived by her husband: Richard Jahn of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; her children: Thomas (Ingrid) Hilgendorf of Omaha, Nebraska; Bill (Kari) Hilgendorf of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Rick (Pat) Hilgendorf of Westfield, WI; her step-son: Rick Jahn of Mellen, WI and 5 grandchildren: Debby (Mike) Goetz of Omaha, Nebraska; Mike Long of Madison, WI; Heidi Hilgendorf of Neenah, WI; Jannel Hilgendorf of Hudson, Florida and Danielle Hilgendorf of Briggsville, WI and 2 sisters: Donna Johnson of Waupaca, WI & Gayle (Jack) Marshall of Westfield, WI. Also surviving are nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jerry Hilgendorf and a brother in law, Gene Johnson. Memorial Services will be on Wednesday, June 14 at 12 PM at Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond with Reverend Daniel Iwinski, officiating. Friends may call on Weds morning from 11 to 12 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in LaVonne's name. Hardell-Holly Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
