Lawrence Bertzyk, Jr.'s Obituary
Lawrence Larry Allan Bertzyk, Jr, Tiger age 49, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Larry was born on September 19, 1959 in Milwaukee, the son of Lawrence and Mary Bertzyk, Sr. He married Rosemary Helen Seifert on July 31, 1982 in Las Vegas, NV while both were serving in the US Marine Corps. Larry was baptized and confirmed in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wautoma where the family are current members. Larry attended Wautoma High School. He then served in the US Marine Corps from 1980-1984. After an Honorable Discharge he moved his family from California back to the Wautoma area and worked at Nelson Muffler. After moving to Rosholt, LBJ was employed as a maintenance technician from October 1988 to the present time at the Waupaca Foundry. In November of 1994, Larry and family purchased a hobby farm in Wild Rose. From a little boy on, Larry loved his animals. Raising chickens, pigs, cattle, guinea hens, ducks, a horse named Chief, goats, turkeys as well as his labs, Dipper and Bo. Since 1995, Larry was a current member of the Wild Rose Fire District and former Captain. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and motorcycling but most of all spending time with his family. He also had a love for knowledge. Anything and everything that interested him, he would research and learn about to its fullest. He also had a remarkable memory where he could recreate many memories, conversations and events throughout his life at any given time. He is survived by Wife: Rosemary Bertzyk, Wild Rose, WI; Children: Lawrence Bertzyk III, Wild Rose, WI; Nichole (Jacob) Janssen, Colorado Springs, CO; Mother: Mary Ann Bertzyk, Benson, AZ; Sister: Cindy (Tom) Dahlke, Wautoma, WI; Brothers: Steve (Dawn) Bertzyk, Waupaca, WI; and Tony (Jolene) Bertzyk, Wautoma, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant daughter, Tina Ann. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wautoma with Father Robert Stegmann officiating. Interment will be in Caersalem Cemetery in the Town Springwater, Waushara County, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1PM until 5 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Monday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
