Lawrence (Larry) Woody's Obituary
Lawrence (Larry) Woody, age 86, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence. Larry was born in Middleton, WI on January 21, 1924, the son of the late Arthur E. and Anna (Petersen) Woody. On December 9, 1942, Larry married Doris (Dottie) Roundtree in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Larry was the manager for many years at Madison Silos in Waupaca. He loved fishing, feeding the wildlife around his home and reading. He was a member of the Waupaca Curling Club and was a driver at Neuville Motors. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Larry is survived by is wife: Doris (Dottie) Woody, Waupaca; his children: John (Carol) Woody, Antigo; Jill (Zephyr) Villano, Denver, CO; Larry A. Woody, Seattle, WA; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lana, a daughter in law, Donna and many brothers and sisters. Memorial Services will be on Wednesday, May 19 at 12 Noon at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend Barry Shaw, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10 Am until the time of services.
