Lawrence H. Vroman's Obituary
Lawrence H. Vroman, age 80, of Plover formally of Almond passed away under the care of hospice on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Whispering Pines Lodge. Lawrence was born in the Town of Oasis, Waushara County on June 23, 1934, the son of the late Harley and Theresa (Heller) Vroman. On August 13, 1955, Lawrence married Edith Lienhard at the Almond United Methodist Church. He farmed for many years and drove school bus for 19 years. He was a Packer fan, loved gardening, playing cards, going to the Casino and especially family gatherings. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Mead-Rath-Gutke Post 339 of Almond. Lawrence is survived by his wife: Edith Vroman, Plover; his foster children: Patrick (Karen) Czerwinski, Stevens Point and Bill Kidd, Plover and his foster-grandchildren: David & Geralyn Czerwinski. Also surviving are many other foster children, aunts, cousins and nieces & nephews. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Melvin & Leland Vroman and 2 sisters, Delores Dorn and LaVerne Smith. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 20 at 11 AM at the Almond United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Gregersen, officiating. Military rites will follow the funeral service. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the church. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Whispering Pines Lodge for their special care, love and expertise of everyone.
