Lee W. Lukens' Obituary
Lee W. Lukens, age 96, of Almond, WI passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Lee was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on October 16, 1918, the son of the late Wilber and Hazel (Allen) Lukens. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and worked many years at Labelle Industries in Oconomowoc and at Hartland Plastics in Hartland. He was a Lifetime member of American Legion Post #0399 of Okauchee, WI. He loved golfing and fishing.
Lee is survived by his children: Susan Thurston, Keshena, WI; Kathleen (Lee) Welter, Almond, WI; Judith (George) Westveer, Almond, WI; Michael Lukens, Merrill, WI; Brian Lukens, Wausau, WI; Tracy (John) Grzywacz, Gleason, WI; Sandra Kottler, Bridgeton, MO and Dixie Lee Sauer, Sutherland, NE; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and his devoted companion: Faye Witt, Almond, WI. Lee was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ajax Jackson and his dog, Pixie. Military Graveside Services will be later in the spring at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. The family wishes to thank the Buck Johnson Family for being such a helpful neighbor, the First Responders and the staff at Riverside Medical Center for their kindness. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
