Lee O. Newsome's Obituary
Lee O. Newsome of Waupaca, WI at age 72 passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 at home, surrounded by family. Born to the late Howard and Ruth (Opper) Newsome on June 8, 1953. Raised into the family of farming, his whole life he worked on the farm and had a couple of outside jobs, but always came back to the farm. He graduated from Waupaca High School and also went onto a short course in college. On his own farm he raised many heads, hogs/pigs. He also helped surrounding farmer friends. He will be sadly missed by his significant other, Darlene Peterson, Brother, Glen Newsome, children; Lee M. Newsome (Angela), Betty Newsome (Kenneth Deeb), grandchildren; Hayden and Hannah Newsome, Vivian and Sofia Deeb, Stepchildren; Teresa Kicherer, Sara Forrest (Tim), Joseph Kicherer, step grandchildren; Desiree Kicherer and Joseph Kicherer, and special friends; Brian and Sandra Towne, and Steve Bogden, Scott, and Dan. Preceding him in death besides his parents was a sister-in-law, Tina, his wife, Janice (Schultz) Newsome, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Graveside Service for Lee will be on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Crystal Lake Cemetery in the Town of Dayton. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date in the warmer weather. The family would like to say thank you to all the Thedacare at Home Nurses and Hospice Nurses who cared and provided for Lee with love and kindness. In Lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the family. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
