Lee C. Van Eperen's Obituary
Lee C. Van Eperen, age 72, passed away December 12th with family by his side. Lee was born April 22nd, 1953 to Lawrence and Joan (Swenson) Van Eperen. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1971. Lee earned an associate’s degree in marketing and made his home in Kaukauna for many years, where he was a part owner of Kaukauna Meats.
Later in life, he moved to Waupaca where he worked both as a CNA and activities director at King Veterans Home. Lee married Ann Jorgensen on May 12, 2006. He and Ann loved spending time outdoors. Their shared interests included hiking, fishing, canoeing, bird watching, and gardening. Lee also enjoyed hunting, reading historical novels, spinning tall tales, and taking care of his beloved pickup truck, Blue Boy. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandsons to whom he was known as “Pop-Pop.” Pop-Pop could often be found participating in indoor “army battles” and other forms of general mischief which brought smiles and laughter to those around him.
Lee is survived by his daughters: Jessie (Josh) Adrians, Mary (Josh) Drephal and grandsons, Jacob and Isaac Drephal, and Andrew Adrians. He is also survived by his siblings: Les (Tammy) Van Eperen and Linda (Lee Wilmington) Van Eperen, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Larry Van Eperen, and daughter, Victoria Van Eperen.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m.
