Leona F. Kraus' Obituary
Leona F. Kraus, age 101, of Plainfield, WI, died peacefully Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma. Leona was born in the Town of Belmont, Portage County, on May 21, 1908, the daughter of the late Frank and Fausta (Pray) Buelow. She married Maurice C. Kraus on May 17, 1971 in Iron Mountain, MI and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. Leona loved gardening, traveling, reading and especially loved listening to polkas. She is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield. Leona is survived by her daughters: Ramona Feustel, Wautoma and Gloria Hadden, Plainfield; nine grandchildren: thirty great grandchildren and twenty one great-great grandchildren. Leona is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three husbands; a son, Kenneth Brinkmann; four grandsons, Steve & Scott Hadden and Tom & Ted Nelson; a sister; a brother; and a grandson-in-law, Randy Scott. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainfield. Burial will be in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Town of Oasis. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
