LEONARD F. NELSON
KING, WI Age 83 – died on Friday, April 15, 2005 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. He was bon on May 20, 1921 in Brantwoodd, WI, a son of the late Axel and Selma (Blank) Nelson. He married Violet Beam on March 14, 1959 in Rib Lake, WI. Leonard is survived by his wife: Violet, five children: Leonard Nelson, Jr, Lynette Larson, Carol Schultz, Barbara Nelson, and James Nelson, grandchildren, brothers: Charlie Nelson and Dean Nelson, and sisters: Gladys Johnas and Betty Hakala. Leonard served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for the P.C. Kaiser Co. in Portage, WI. He became a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in February of 2003, moving to King from the
Adams-Friendship area. A funeral service will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Main Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Wayne Schwanke, officiating. Interment will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King following the funeral service. Military rites will also be observed following the funeral service.
