Leonard Wallin's Obituary
Leonard J. Wallin, age 78, of King, WI., passed away on Thursday, December 17th, 2009 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall, King. He was born in Escanaba, MI., on May 13, 1931, a son of the late Louis and Ida (Derocher) Wallin. Leonard married Beverly Recore on July 19, 1958. He was Tool and Die Maker and had worked for American Motors/Chrysler/Dahlmer for 30 years. Leonard served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed any sporting activity including hunting with his two sons, Rory and Robin, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Beverly. Survivors include his Wife: Beverly Wallin, Neshkoro, WI; Children: Rory (Barbra) Wallin, Ripon, WI; Robin (Linda) Wallin, Crivitz, WI; Laura (Mark) Wallin, Wauwatosa, WI; Wendy (Russell) Wanasek, Princeton, WI; Debbie (Matthew) Flower, West Allis, WI; Niece: Eleanore (LeRoy) Davies, Mountain, WI. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Walter, two sisters, Diane and Elsie. A Memorial Mass will be held at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King, at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the Main Chapel.
