Leonarda "Lee" A. Laundrie's Obituary
Leonarda “Lee” A. Laundrie, age 90 of Waupaca, formerly of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was born on February 8, 1933 to Edward and Frances (Karcz) Skalecki.
On October 9, 1965 Lee married Donald Laundrie in Green Bay and they shared 55 years together prior to his passing on November 11, 2020. Lee’s talents were many, she was an extremely accomplished cook/baker, seamstress and floral designer, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Lee always put her family first, leaving behind wonderful memories. Lee was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandson Wenzel, due in February. She enjoyed entertaining her family during every holiday and decorating her beautiful home in Bellevue, WI.
She will be dearly missed by her children Faye (Todd) Klismet of Waupaca and their children Alexis Klismet and Kelsey (Jason) Wenzel; Ken (Nicole) Laundrie of Homer Glen, IL and their children Morgan and Samantha Laundrie; Dennis (Michelle) Laundrie of Appleton, WI and their children Collin, Mason and Emma Laundrie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Frances Skalecki, two sisters Jane Auer and Patricia “Pat” Radtke, and infant brother Anthony “Butch” Skalecki, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. Father Xavier Santiago will officiate. Entombment will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the Church. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
