Leone Hetzel's Obituary
Leone Hetzel age 90 of Amherst passed away on Saturday February 12, 2011. Leone was born on July 27, 1920 the daughter of Otto and Sophia (Geske) Mundt. Leone married the late Arden Hetzel on June 2, 1940.
Leone is survived by two daughters Diane (Gordon) Sauve of Amherst, WI, and Kay (Ron) Cohn of Ferndale, CA; five grandchildren Val (Brad) Sokola, Justine O’Donnell (Dan Rafferty), Jayme Cohn, Dean (Sheila) Sauve, and Tracy (Mark) Hunter; six great grandchildren John Sauve, Melanie Sauve, Samantha Sauve, Cody Klimmer, Ryan Hunter, and Erin Hunter; two sisters Lorraine (George) Sonntag, and Gertrude Rugland, and one sister-in-law Eleanor Everson.
Leone was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Sophia Mundt, her husband Arden Hetzel, an infant daughter Linda, and two brothers Emery and Rueben Mundt.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 11 A.M. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst. Pastor Dwight Anderson will officiate, with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M.
