Leroy H. Borntrager's Obituary
Leroy H. Borntrager, age 47, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Stevens Point on September 6, 1967, a son of Harvey and Elizabeth (Miller) Borntrager.
Leroy served in the U.S. Navy for four years at which time he served on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. He had worked at the Waupaca Foundry for 25 years. Leroy was a member of Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca.
Survivors include his Children: Jolie and Micah Borntrager, Waupaca, WI and their mother, Angie Borntrager, Waupaca, WI; Mother: Elizabeth Miller, Goshen, IN; Sisters: Fannie Borntrager, Oregon, WI; Rose (Rick Stoflet Jr.) Borntrager, Goshen, IN; Brothers: Ray (Tracy) Borntrager, Waupaca, WI; Harley (Sherry) Borntrager, Bristol, IN; William (Jen) Borntrager, Bristol, IN; Step Sisters: Wanda (Dave) Buck, Middlebury, IN; Dar Morehouse, Goshen, IN; Step-Mother: Lydia Borntrager, Goshen, IN; Close Friends: Ashley Graham, Waupaca, WI; Henry Miller, Waupaca, WI; Special Friend: Sherrie Bunnell, Kenosha, WI. Leroy is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father - Harvey Borntrager, step-brother - Kevin Yoder, father-in-law - Guy Butch Lankford, close friend - Troy Hanson and a special furry friend - Brady.
Funeral Services will be held at Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015, with Reverend Dean Wheeler, officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 until 8 PM at Shepherd of the Lakes Church and on Tuesday, from 11 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
