We send our sympathy to the Schultz family. Roger and I have many fond memories of time spent with Les over the years. Many fun Badger parties. I still wear the first Bucky pin and have all the other ones.

I met Les as a customer . He needed some repairs on his home . We became good friends after the work I did for him . Fond memories of his fall fish boils , German potato salad , his fine wood working , quilting , his love for family and many more . One memory I will never forget is Lea letting me take my daughter to the car show in his old Merc . We will never forget you and may you Rest In Peace as you are now able to reunite with the love of your life . God bless my friend when we meet again have that whiskey bottle ready .
Mr Schultz was a new teacher at Amherst and I was a new high school student the same year- 1966. When taking roll call in class in the first day of school he pronounced every Polish name with precision. Then he came to my name and enunciated my last name with two syllables. I didn’t raise my hand but realized that he called my name because everyone else in the class was looking at me. So how would you pronounce “Jones”? I laughed with him about that a number of times. He was such a gentle giant. He was kind, intelligent and fun to be around. God Bless you Mr Schultz. Prayers of love and support to his family and friends. Sandi Keener
This is Carol J Auck I was a neighbor of Les and Mary in Amherst Wis they were great people and neighbors Just talking about them th eother day so sorry for the loss
My condolences to the family of Les Schultz. In 1979, our family moved to Amherst when I took the responsibility of being the Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Your father was the football coach and driver's ed teacher. Our three children all attended Amherst High School along with some of Les' children. 38 years later I am one of five Part time Chaplains at Bethany Home in Waupaca. It is during these last couple of years that I came to know him in a personal way as both Chaplain and friend. We often shared time together with other residents of Bethany at the breakfast table or in our small group discussions. I am happy to say that we became close over the passing months. One of your fathers gifts to Bethany was the scrollsaw cutout of the Lord's Prayer. He donated one of these for our chapel and thankfully, we were able to have it framed and mounted in the Bethany chapel while he could see the fruit of his handiwork. Our Christian faith assures us that Jesus died and rose so that we may have life with God. May our dear Lord comfort you as you grieve the loss of your father and friend. I know I will miss him. My last visit with him was my last Sunday chapel service which he attended even though he was in very great discomfort. Blessings to all from Chaplain Pastor John Schmidt
