Lillian Maulhardt's Obituary
Lillian A. Maulhardt, age 85, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Thursday, February 9th, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born in Milladore, WI on April 11, 1920, the daughter of Antone and Anna (Lilla) Mancl. Lillian grew up in the small village of Milladore. Lillian married Joe Maulhardt on June 1, 1943. Joe built a bar and they called it (Joe and Lil's). They owned the bar and restaurant for 22 years. After they sold their business they moved to Waupaca. After Joe died in 1977, Lillian took a job at Riverside Hospital as a cook and worked for 15 years until she retired in 1993. Lillian and Joe enjoyed dancing, which Lillian continued to do with her lady friends after Joe died. Lillian liked to read the newspaper and magazines, as well as cooking and baking. She created many wonderful recipes. Lillian attended and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Communtiy in Waupaca. Lillian moved to Angelus on April 15, 2005 from her home on Larson Street in Waupaca. She is survived by Brothers: Alex (Martha) Mancl, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Richard (Barbara) Mancl, Ripon, WI; Sister: Elsie (Darrell) Smith, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; three brothers, Clarence, Edward and Herman and two sisters, Eleanor Rybicki and Agnes Kaminski. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca, with Father John Becker presiding. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
