Lillian . . . a shining example of a remarkable woman. Not only an endearing friend, but also a precious mentor on how to live a life well lived.
Our friendship began in 1990, in Iola, as she became one of our first Chiropractic patients. Lillian got a "kick" out of how her and Jack shared the same birthdate of December 3rd.
As the years passed, her ongoing letters and poems reinforced what a special lady she was, expounding how to truly enjoy life and the world around us.
Lillian was clearly a blessing from God to us! "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul." Proverbs 27:9
We have been honored and privileged sharing so many years together. We "Thank You" dear sweet darlin for enriching our lives.

We were so fortunate to have Lillian for our neighbor. She was a great historian and a wonderful poet. We enjoyed listening to her stories. She enjoyed watching our cows. Thanks to Lillian, we have Snoopy, our indoor/outdoor cat. She called him Cuddles.
She will be dearly missed here on earth. The Lord has a new angel.
It was a great privilege and honor knowing Lillian!
She was a treasure and embodied what a true Christian was.
She gave me many of her plants that are so beautiful and leaves a legacy of who she was in such a powerful way. A woman who deeply appreciated her gardens, nature and the wonder God placed in her life- but more importantly she saw that wonder. She never complained.
She wrote to me right to the very end of her life.
I have every letter and poem she has written me- but most of all I will strive to live like she did—
Telling me “there is enough love to go around for everyone.”
“If people only understood this - we all could live a much happier life.”
I will miss her greatly.
Lillian was such a special lady. She always had a bright outlook on life, even through any challenges that she faced. I met her through our antique tractor club when she would go on tractor drives with us. After each ride, Lillian would write a poem about it that described it in better detail than most would even notice as it happened. I will miss our visits at Bethany, and doing puzzles with her. What a life she lived!
Lillian was a wonderful woman: always giving of herself and grateful to Mike for fixing the depot.

I did not know her long, but it doesn't take long knowing her to realize she had such an appreciation for all the small and simple and precious things in life ... bees, wasps, flowers, home, health, Ed, etc. She never complained, and was so positive. I have cherished my PenPal (kept all her letters!) over these years, and will miss her, but her positivity will continue to inspire me to be the best person I can be. Lillian, you are precious.

She was a great woman, was friends and neighbors with my mother and her family. Elsie Christianson (daughter & children of Arnold and Alma Christanson. at the Crystal Lake. Going to School with Elsie and her siblings. Prayers going to her family! She will be dearly missed!
