Linda L. Havitz
Amherst, WI Age 62 – died on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at her residence. She was born on July 17, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Arnold and Bernice (Marchinke) Adam. She married Lloyd T. Havitz on September 23, 2004 in Stevens Point, WI. Linda is survived by her husband; Lloyd, a daughter; JoJo Sook (significant other: Brad Kleiber) and grandchildren; Brandi and Dalanie Kleiber of Jefferson, WI, step-daughter; Jennifer Connolly and granddaughter; Casey Ann Connolly of Brandon, FL, sisters; Ellen (Gene) Robbins of Plover, and Sally (Tom) Young of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces and nephews; Michael Wegner and children; Taylor and Paige of Wisconsin Rapids, Jon (Tracy) Young and children; Dani, Gabby, and Jake of Wisconsin Rapids, Jeff Young of Wisconsin Rapids, Kim (Pat) Young and children; Tyler, Jordon, and Justin of Wisconsin Rapids, Kent (Deb) Krings and children; Adam and Angela of Plover, Karen Krings and children; Brittany and Liz of Plover, and Kelly Stoffel and children; Jared and Jenna of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister; Nancy Wegner. Linda had been employed as a senior systems programmer with the Sentry Insurance Co. in Stevens Point for 36 years, until her retirement. She had been the president of the Amherst Tree Board, served on the Amherst Cable Commission, and was a Channel 7 “weather watcher” for 15 years. Linda loved gardening, wildlife, her pets, traveling, and all Wisconsin sports teams. A funeral service will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A visitation will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst on Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
