Linda Smith's Obituary
Linda L. Smith, age 95, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Friday, October 19th, 2007 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born in the Town of Lind, Waupaca County, on July 29, 1912, the daughter of Arthur and Helena (Behm) Zabel. On June 29, 1946, she married Gale Smith in the Town of Lind. Linda attended Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Lind. She spent her early years as a homemaker and later went to work for Zwickers Knitting Mill in Waupaca. Linda enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling. She is survived by Daughter: Arlene Smith, Appleton, WI; Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Budd (Hagara) Smith, Waupaca, WI; Violet (Harold) Rasmussen, Waupaca, WI and Beatrice Zabel, Oconomowoc, WI. Linda is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gale and one brother, Elder. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday October 23, 2007 at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with Reverend William Jordan officiating. Interment will be in the Hatton Cemetery in the Town of Lind. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
