Lindbergh L. Nielsen's Obituary
Lindbergh “Lindy” Lauritz Nielsen, Waupaca, 89, passed away February 20, 2018. Lindbergh was born in Racine, WI on February 26, 1928, to George H. Nielsen and Juliette (Nee. Hansen). Lindy was a long time resident of Racine and Caledonia, WI until moving to Waupaca.
Lindbergh worked in the printing and paper industries. He and wife, Claudia, owned “Claudia’s Cloth Connection” in Waupaca. Lindy was active in church and served in the US Army. Helping and concern for others in the community was important to Lindy.
Lindy is survived by 3 children: Fr. Thaddeus(Sally) Nielsen of Amery, WI; Mark (Carol) Nielsen of Mundelein, IL; Susan Nielsen of Waupaca; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one brother Gordon(Catherine) of Tulsa, Ok. Further survived by, other relatives and friends.
Lindbergh was preceded in death by wife, Barbara and wife, Claudia; daughter Julie (Thomas) Tiegs, seven brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at Parfreyville United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 10, 2018 beginning at 10:30 AM.
Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Racine, WI at a later date.
