Lionel Peck's Obituary
Lionel B. Peck, age 81, of Wild Rose, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, January 18th, 2005 at his daughter's home on Gilbert Lake surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pound, Wisconsin on December 2, 1923, the son of Edward and Margaret (Gabriel) Peck. He married Eileen Cremer on August 16, 1947 in Freeport, IL. Lionel was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army and a graduate of Marquette University. He was employed as an electrical engineer with GE Medical Systems for thirty-seven years, prior to his retirement on Gilbert Lake. Lionel was active in the community and was one of the seven builders of the Springwater Volunteer Covered Bridge. Lionel's happiest days were spent boating on Gilbert Lake with his grandchildren. Lionel was the loving husband of Eileen Peck, Wild Rose, WI for fifty-seven years; the caring father of David (Angela) Peck, Berkeley, CA; Edward (JoAnne) Peck, Stevens Point, WI; Mary (Steve) Lauer, Atlanta, GA; Carol (Keith Kirchhoff) Peck, Brookfield, WI; beloved grandfather of Bryan, Eric & Matt Lauer; Will, Chris & Jon Peck; Andrea & Leslie Kirchhoff; and brother of Lawrence (Jeanne) Peck, Freeport, IL; Lucille (Bob) Germain, Milwaukee, WI; Lola Mae Franz, Green Bay, WI. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Fridy, January 21, 2005 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wautoma, Wisconsin. Father Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Interment will be in Caersalem Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the Wild Rose Booster Club.
