Lloyd T. Havitz's Obituary
Lloyd T. Havitz, of Amherst, WI, passed away at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, quiet strength, and an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.
Born in Stevens Point on January 20,1947 to the late Edward and Alma (Buelow) Havitz, Lloyd was raised on the family farm in Junction City. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1965. He went on to become a pipefitter in the central WI area. Lloyd lived most of his life in Amherst, WI with his wife Linda (Sook) Havitz, where he was known for his expert mushroom foraging, gardening, and his love for animals and the outdoors.
Lloyd is survived by his stepdaughter JoJo (Brad) Kleiber, granddaughter Kasey Connolly, step grandkids Clayton and Liza Kleiber, brother Elliot (Katie) Havitz, brother-in-law Virgil Seavers, many nephews and nieces including Pamela (Seavers) Thomson, who played a special role in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his daughter Jennifer Connolly, brothers Edward and John “Jack," and his sister Rosemary. His nephew Scott and niece Kari will also be there to welcome Lloyd home.
Per Lloyd’s wishes, no services will be held, but please enjoy some quiet reflection, honoring Lloyd's love of nature, or make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
