FORMERLY OF ILLINOIS Age 88 passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. She was born January 1, 1918 in Waupaca, WI; daughter of Fred and Frances (Nelson) Smith. On October 28, 1939, Lois married William J. Polen, Jr. in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1998. Lois is survived by:
Son: Fred (Martha) Polen of Bartlett, IL
Daughter: Bonnie (Dave) Gilbert of Naperville, IL
Grandson: Steven Gilbert of California
Granddaughter: Shannon (Bruce) Morris of Palatine, IL
Sisters: Shirley (Lyle) Krause of Wisconsin Rapids, WI
Ethelyn Rasmussen of Waupaca, WI She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William John Polen, Jr., grandson, William John Polen, III, and four brothers, Gerald, Glenn, Junior, and Ronald Smith.
