Donna and I have fond memories of our camping trip to the Michigan upper peninsula over 50 years ago with Lona and Don. Fun times long ago!!
Lona was my best friend all four years of high school. We went to most of all the school activities together. Band all 4 years together. She was one of the most kind, gentle gal I know. Her family was always so kind to me and so family orientated. I am so thankful we got to see each other these last 2 years at the class gatherings. She will be deeply missed and I will never forget the happy times we had together..
Lona and I walked to school almost every morning.
When we were younger we used to play outside in a tent we made out of blankets...so many happy memories.

Lona was one of the very first child care teachers I hired at my day care center. She started work on the day I opened. Her patience amazed me. Lona got along with every child, parent and co-worker that she met. She always had a smile and listened so attentively to the children in her group. She worked with a toddler group, which, in itself could be a challenge, but she worked wonders. The little projects were always adorable and she would read books non stop.What an asset to our child care center! On a personal level, you don't always find people as genuine as Lona. She was filled with faith, love and kindness and compassion.We'll surely miss you Lona and thank you for being in our life. Janine Beauchaine
