Lorraine V. Kureck's Obituary
Lorraine Victoria Kureck, returned home to her heavenly father on Nov 19, 2009 at the age of 83 Her story began in Stevens Point. She later moved to Milwaukee. She met and married Leonard Kureck and raised three children, Lawrence, Theresa, and Karen. There she had a large garden and flowerbeds. She was very active in her church. She enjoyed many friends those years. She loved to entertain, to cook and laugh with friends.
They later moved to Grafton and again she put in a garden and flowers. Made more friends and began loving a new set of kids through babysitting. Life was good until she lost Len to cancer. She moved back to Amherst, closer to Karen and her sister Belvine. She made salads and soups for the supper club for many years. She was the church funeral cook for several years also. Baking and cooking was her greatest enjoyment. Here she was part of Karen's family, always helping and being with the kids. She traveled many places with Belvine. She loved to play bingo, paint, crochet, a few casinos now and then, and of course scrabble. Always staying in touch with her family.
She lost Terry in 2001 to cancer. Larry moved to Amherst in 2006.
She was a survivor, through breast cancer, and all the things that attacked her body. She fought them and tried to do things on her own as long as possible. Those who knew her laughed at how many lives she had! But this last year was very hard on her. To many things, to close together. She grew tired.
She's back home with Len and Terry now. With all that went before. Her brothers Wally Werowinski, Harry Werowinski, Duane Zdroik, Her parents
