Louis A. Wendel's Obituary
Mr. Louis A. (Lou) Wendel, age 88, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2005 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center. Mr. Wendel was born in Onekama, Michigan on February 19, 1917, he was the son of the late Hans and Jessie (McNaughten) Wendel. On Aug 10, 1974 he married Elizabeth A. (Long) Wendel. She preceded him in death on Jan 2, 1993. Lou was a Graphic Designer and Wild Life Artist. He enjoyed spending time with his family along with taking photographs of the outdoors. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post #1037 in Waupaca. He is survived by Step Daughter: Kathy (Jerry) Lind, Menomonee Falls, WI; Step Son: Paul (Maurine) Villwock, Greendale, WI. Step-Grandchildren: Tracy (Mike) Conlin, Waupaca, WI; Terry (Jenny) Lind; Scott Villwock; Paul (Kim) Villwock; Matt (Shelly) Villwock; Brett (Nancy) Villwock; Nicole Villwock; Marne Villwock; Jenny Topolovich; Michael Topolovich; Dan Topolovich; Hannah Wendel. He is also survived by several Step-Great grandchildren: Lou was preceded in death by his Wife: Elizabeth, Daughter: Marie Topolovich and Two Brothers: Richard & Les Wendel. A Memorial Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 29th, with Waupaca VFW Post #1037 officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A.J. Holly & Sons LTD
