Louise M. Dayton's Obituary
Louise M. Dayton, age 53, of Waupaca, WI passed away after a courageous 13 1/2 year battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Theda-Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton. Louise was born in Waupaca on November 8, 1964, daughter of Kermit and Linda (Porter) Peterson. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1982. After graduating college from UW-LaCrosse in 1986, Louise became a 4th Grade teacher in the Waupaca School District, where she continued until her health would not allow on November 22, 2017. On June 23, 1990, Louise married Kenneth R. Dayton at Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved volleyball (City Champion for to many years to count) softball, biking, hiking, kayaking, her flower gardens and especially watching her boys play sports. Louise is survived by her husband: Kenneth Dayton, Waupaca; her sons: Ethan (Tori) Dayton; Tyler Dayton and Ryan Dayton, all of Waupaca; her mother: Linda Hill, Waupaca; her brother: Keith (Jane) Peterson, Baxter, MN; her sister: LuAnn (Brian Krueger) Kennedy, Waupaca; a step-sister: Tina Hill, Lynchburg, VA; brothers-in-law: Michael Dayton, Wisconsin Rapids & James Dayton, Waupaca and her nephews: Blake & Kevin Peterson and Adam & Brady Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Peterson, step-father, Warren Hill, her grandparents, Paul & Stella Peterson and Clair & Ethel Porter and her step-brother, Tim Hill. A Memorial Service will be on Monday, January 29 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Andy Behrendt, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. The Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28 from 2 PM to 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca continuing on Monday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Louise M. Dayton.
