Louise A. Niemuth's Obituary
Louise A Niemuth born November 13, 1958, died December 7, 2024 after a long battle with alcohol addiction. Louise was born to Dean Riley and Jeanette (Zywicki) Batten in Stevens Point, WI. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1976. She graduated from FVTC in 1978 with a degree in accounting. She was united in marriage to the boy next door, her high school sweetheart and the man of her dreams Richard Niemuth on September 27, 1980. Together they had three children whom she loved dearly. Louise had many jobs throughout her life including her longest at AAL/Thrivent from where she retired in 2013. In 2003 Richard and Louise started Niemuth’s Southside Market where she did the bookwork along with many other roles.
Throughout the years Louise was a Boy Scout and Brownie leader and a travel soccer mom, spending many weekends driving to AJ’s soccer games or watching Aaron and Scooter play football among other activities. But her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She would spend as much time as she could with them and attended as many of their school and sporting events as possible. But her favorite past time was baking cookies, and letting them play in the flour! In her spare time, she had tons of hobbies including taking pictures of her kids, loons (mostly water as they would swim away) and eagles, basket weaving and quilting/sewing (spending many weekends with friends doing both.)
Louise is survived by her Husband of 44 years Richard, her children Aaron (Rebecca) of Waupaca, Andrea (AJ) (James) Taylor of Amherst and Scott (Bridget) of Waupaca. Her grandchildren Carter and Kenzie Niemuth, Owen and Sylvi Taylor. Her mother Jeanette Batten of Waupaca. Her Siblings Dave (Dawn) Riley of Freedom, Marie Thompson of Bolder Junction, Loretta (Rudy) McKinney of Appleton, Daniel Riley of Waupaca, Tom (Jane) Riley of Waupaca, Dean Riley of Waupaca, Tim (Jessica) Batten of Plover. Her sisters-in-law Nancy (Mark Ervin) Niemuth Columbus OH, and Janet Niemuth of Lakeland Fl. Along with many Nieces and Nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father Dean Riley, step-father Benny Batten. Her sister Doris Riley, brothers-in-law Roger and Robert Niemuth. Mother and Father-in-law Robert and Dorothy Niemuth.
Addiction is a terrible but treatable disease that causes so much pain for all involved. We wanted to fight with you and for you but knew that you had to want to fight for yourself and now you have lost that fight. Mom, we will miss the good times but know that you are at peace with the demons that you were trying to drown.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024 at 12 P.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Ken Frey will officiate. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024 from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 12 P.M. at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
