Lucile B. Olsen's Obituary
Lucile Bodden Olsen, 91, of Auroraville, passed away peacefully after a short illness on November 24, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. This optimistic, fun loving lady was very active in First Lutheran Church, Poy Sippi as a Sunday School teacher, Luther League Counselor, and church council member, and she held various offices in the local and conference church women. She delighted being a 4-H project leader, a member of Poy Sippi Petal Pushers, Early Bird Swimmers, and Home Arts. Her passions included gardening, traveling, reading, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born Lucile Bodden in Tampa, Florida where she grew up and married Levi Olsen (deceased) of Poy Sippi. They moved to Auroraville after World War II. Later she worked as a nursing assistant at Juliette Manor, Berlin, retiring in 1984. Lucile’s memory will be cherished by her daughters, Judy, of Montana and Rosemary Haima (Randy) of Ripon; grand-daughters RaeAnnon Sasada (Ryan) and Rachel Brown of Ripon; and 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her unconditional love extended to her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends who were dear to her. She was predeceased by her husband Levi Peter Olsen and her grandson Terry Haima. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi. Pastor David Sielaff will officiate, with burial to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2012 from 9 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church. The Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
