Age 88 - passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born on March 22, 1924 in the Township of Dayton, Waupaca County, WI, the daughter of John and Emily (Hahn) Sarnowski. She married Albert E. Holly on November 24, 1945 at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1981.
Lucille is survived by her daughter; Kathy (David) Kienert of Waupaca, two grandsons; Josh and Ben Kienert, both of Waupaca, and two sisters; Mamie Sarnowski and Emily Plawski, both of Waupaca. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her son; Tom Holly, a brother; Edward Sarnowski, and a sister; Evelyn Minton.
Lucille was a very active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. She had volunteered as a Gray Lady at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King for many years. She was a caretaker of the former Waupaca Public Library for many years. She had also served on the Library Board.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with Father Amalraj Roche, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 6:30 PM, and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday evening at the Holly Funeral Home. Memorials can be directed to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church of Waupaca, or the Humane Society of Waupaca County in memory of Lucille Holly. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
