Lucille G. Salter's Obituary
Lucille G. Salter, age 84, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born in the Town of Springwater, Waushara Co., WI on June 21, 1933, daughter of the late James and Hildred (Eastman) Jorgensen.
Lucille married Glenn Salter on December 27, 1951 in the Town of Farmington. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2017. She worked for many years as supervisor of Housekeeping at Bethany Home. Lucille was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Lucille was the hands and feet of Jesus. Her launching point was always her faith and her kitchen. She served her husband, her children, grandchildren and her church. From Lenten soup suppers to Dad's chocolate cake and everything in between. If there was something to be done, she was the first in line to sign up to serve.
Survivors include her Children: Paula (Dennis) Selvig, Evanston, IL; Barb (Terry) Nellis, Waupaca, WI; Dennis (Bette) Salter, Appleton, WI; Grandchildren: Tonia Marriott, Evanston, IL; Nathan Selvig, Chicago, IL; Kyle Selvig, Evanston, IL; Mindy (Daniel) Gutzmann, Milwaukee, WI; Stacie (Special Friend: Eric Schuelke) Nellis, Marion, WI; Tony (Kasie) Nellis, Waupaca, WI; Jonathan (Danya) Salter, Raytown, MO; Andrew Salter, Appleton, WI and Eleven Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother - Genette Jorgensen, husband - Glenn Salter, great grandson - Trenton Schuelke and two brothers - James Jorgensen Jr. and Larry Jorgensen.
Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11 AM on Monday, December 4th, 2017, with Reverend Andy Behrendt, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Farmington Lutheran Cemetery, Town Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waupaca Backpack Program or Lucille's children will help feed children in other areas.
