Lydia Ruth Schoenfeldt, 83, of Wautoma WI passed away Monday August 25th 2008 at Wild Rose Manor. She was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1924, and was united in marriage to Fred Schoenfeldt in 1942.
Lydia enjoyed many activities throughout her life, particularly music and art. She was adept at the piano, teaching for several years, and also graced many with her beautiful paintings, ceramics and countless quilts.
She was truly one of a kind; a wise, social and magical woman who was a great listener and best friend to countless people. She was also a caring, selfless mother who loved her family more than anything else in the world. Throughout life's challenges she always managed to triumph with a smile and a laugh. She genuinely cared for and loved all those she knew. Lydia is survived by her sons Tom and Jim; their children, grandchildren, and many extended relatives as well as special friends Mary, Maggie, Carol, Judy and Shelly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred and daughter Vicki. A private family service will be held at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg on Thurs Aug 28 2008. The family would like to thank the staff of the Wild Rose Nursing Home and Agnesian Healthcare for making Lydia's last weeks as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Holly Funeral Home
