Age 56 – died very unexpectedly on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on July 18, 1953 in Iola, WI, the daughter of the late Luther and Vernice (Helgeson) Leer. She married Robert Both on May 11, 2005 in Waupaca.
Lynette was employed at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega for 22 years, first as a CNA and later as a payroll clerk. Lynette had been president of ASCME Union Local #2664 for several years. Lynette enjoyed working with her husband Robert raising honey bees and turkeys. She also loved the time she could spend with family. She was a wonderful wife, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt, and great aunt. Lynette had many friends in the Variety Pack Homemakers club.
Lynette is survived by her husband Robert, her brother Leland Leer of Necedah, her sister Gloria (Don) Greenwood of St. Louis, MO, aunt Grace Stewart of Raleigh, NC, aunt Edna Tschurwald of Iola, and aunt Phyllis Solberg of West Allis. She is further survived by nine nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Lynette was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Bob Hanson, officiating. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of Lynette M. Leer Both. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
