As I was swimming at the Y today, I was thinking of Red Blair. It has been 51 years since I took swimming and lifesaving from him at UWSP. I remember him as a great teacher with a good sense of humor. From him, I finally learned how to do all the various swimming strokes correctly. And through those lessons, I learned to love swimming. I have continued to swim laps several times a week and quite often I think of Red as I am working to do those strokes just right. I can still see him walking up and down the side of the pool at UWSP shouting out pointers and corrections, yet in a very encouraging way.

So sorry KAY and family for your loss of Red. We have so many treasured fun times to reflect on as special friends. Red was very caring, always busy, and helping others. God is enjoying Red being in heaven with him. Sending our love and hugs to you.

Worked with Red at Neuville Motors. He was a very special person. He will be missed.

Took a swimming class at UWSP Coach was the instructor. Had to do a timed swim 100 yds each class for a guaranteed A. I was always last but got my A.
