Lynne D. Wichmann

Lynne Diane Wichmann lived full and died peacefully, with family holding her close, on Friday January 4, 2013. Lynne’s life was whole, well, and filled with wondrous blessings. Lynne lived with multiple sclerosis for 35 of her 56 years. Lynne was born and raised in Wild Rose. During the course of her career she worked as a health care professional, college teacher and advisor, and disability rights advocate. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduate degrees in Business and in Theology. Lynne earned many awards and experienced many adventures. She was passionate about serving others and encouraged people to live in proactive partnership to share unique talents and skills. Lynne’s biggest joy was being a mom to her God Gift Pleasure Treasure children Alyson, Elizabeth, and Jon-Paul. After living in several regions of the country they returned to and lived in Wild Rose to be close to Grandparents, to a close-knit caring community, and the beauty of rural life. Lynne is survived by her children Alyson Bechard, Elizabeth Bechard (Jeff Thoren), Jon-Paul Bechard and granddaughter Parker Thoren.She is survived by sister Lee Anne Wichmann (Robert Ponto) and their children Ryan, Anna, Kaaren and sister Lisa LaClair (Ken) and their children Danielle and Alex. She is also survived by members of her blended and extended family Dale and Kelly Bechard, Pat Wagner and Barb Haag, Ken, Emily, and Tyler Dorcey, Brian Wagner, Beth Wagner, Silvia Carter and daughters Andrea, Samantha, and Jennifer, Rex and Alice Bechard, and John and Judy Thoren. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents Rodney and Barbara Wichmann, her brother Larry Wichmann, her paternal grandparents Ray and Alice Wichmann, and her maternal grandparents Leslie and Dorothy Forsyth. There will be a glorious Heavenly reunion. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 12 Noon at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday at the Holly Funeral Home from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for the Wild Rose Hospital Auxiliary and the Waushara Food Pantry. Lynne’s motto was “Diverse Abilities. Infinite Possibilities. Defy Disability.
