Lynne A. Michael's Obituary
Lynne Anne Michael, 77, of Waupaca, passed away on May 24, 2019 in Waupaca under the care of ThedaCare At Home Hospice at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca. Lynne was born in Rockford IL to Folke and Esther Erickson on September 10, 1941. She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1959. She graduated UW Platteville in 1963. She married Elliot Michael on June 15th, 1963 in Rockford, IL. As a school music teacher, piano teacher and member of the Waupaca Community Chorus, she has shared her love of music with countless students and friends of all ages. After retirement, she enjoyed quilting, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Lynne is survived by her daughter, Chris (Dale) Carper De Pere, WI, son Paul (Kaye) Michael Verona, WI, brothers Norman (Caralou) Erickson and Gary (Shari) Erickson, grandson Matthew (Tori) Carper, Grandaughters Charlotte and Ella Michael, great granddaughter Brooklyn Carper and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend, Don Colbert.
Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, Folke and Esther Erickson, her husband Elliot Michael, her aunt Helga Westerlund and niece Lori Erickson.
A funeral service will be held on Friday May 31, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Pastor Dione Miller will officiate with burial to follow at Lakeside Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the Holly funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M.
The family wishes to extend sincere thank you to Dr. Anthony Phillips and all the staff at ThedaCare Cancer Care, especially her special nurse Abby. Our mother was always treated with kindness and respect. She appreciated everyone who was involved in her care. A memorial is being established to benefit the Waupaca Community Chorus.
