Mabel F. Hamilton's Obituary
Mabel F. Hamilton, age 102, of Rosholt, WI passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Mabel was born in Town of Carson, Portage County on December 18, 1909, the daughter of the late Frank and Millie (Hetze) Doughty. She married Henry Mancl of Blenker, WI and he is deceased. She later married Don Hamilton and he is also deceased. During WW II, she worked at Allis-Chalmers Super-Charged Plant in Oak Creek making war materials. After WW II, she worked at Square D Plant as an engraver for 36 years before retiring. She then built a house on Penney Lake for summers and had a home in Orlando, FL for winters. She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt. She is survived by her son: Eugene (Rose) Mancel, Rosholt; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, a brother: Carl Doughty, Rosholt and a sister: Charlotte Lepak, Amherst. Mabel was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Billy. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 24 at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt with Reverend Charles Fluegel, officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Milladore, WI. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Portage County Humane Society or Faith Lutheran Church. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
