Malcolm Arthur Hintz's Obituary
Malcolm Arthur Hintz of Almond, Wisconsin passed away on February 9, 2026. He was born on November 15, 1939 to Arthur and Thelma Hintz in their home in Buena Vista, a place that would go on to be an important part of the family’s life for generations.
Malcolm attended Sunnyside School in Buena Vista through 8th grade. He then attended Almond High School where he graduated in 1958. Malcolm spent his life working in agriculture, first as a hog farmer, and later dedicating more than 30 years as a dairy farmer. Farming was more than an occupation for Malcolm; it was a way of life.
Malcolm married Mary Heidger on August 17, 1964 at St. Patrick’s Church in Lanark. Together they raised 3 sons. Malcolm enjoyed going to car and tractor shows, hunting, fishing and traveling with his family. His grandchildren will always cherish the memories they have of fishing with grandma and grandpa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his sons, Mark (Kristi), Tim, David, 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Jenifer, and his daughter in law, Lisa.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 12:00 noon at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Lanark, WI. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass with burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The Jungers-Holly Funeral home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
